Spring hooray! Nose oh no! 馃尲馃ぇ

Spring at last: the sun stays longer, the caf茅s put their chairs out and the nose switches to continuous operation. For allergy sufferers, pollen season also marks the start of restless nights.
Hay fever often hits hardest at night, of all times. The pollen collected during the day in hair, clothes and bed linen celebrates its afterparty in the bedroom. Blocked nose, watering eyes, sneezing fits at three in the morning, deep sleep is hardly an option.
The good news: a few habits keep the bedroom largely pollen-free. Shower and wash your hair in the evening before bed, otherwise you sleep in the middle of a pollen depot. Don't undress or store your day clothes in the bedroom. And air the room at the right time for your region: in the countryside in the evening, in the city in the early morning, when pollen concentration is lowest.
The bed itself can help too: change bed linen more often during pollen season and wash it at 60 degrees or more. And better not to dry laundry outside right now, it comes back into the house as a pollen trap.
Spring remains the most beautiful season all the same. You just have to enjoy it outside and consistently lock it out inside. Your nose says thank you, and so does your sleep.
